Flea Markets of Paris

I'll probably elaborate more on this subject when I get back...but in the mean time, enjoy these quintessentially French vignettes from the flea markets we shopped today.

Collection of Parisian doors....

Currently I'm in Europe on business (shopping for inspiration for Fall 2012). My brain's too mushy from a very l-o-o-n-g, blister-filled day for witty introductions...but I have a thing for doors, and here are some I photographed in Paris today. Just everyday doors - mostly on apartment buildings and businesses, each one more amazing than the last.

The (cutest) Little Book Room

Getting ready for a business trip this November to London and Paris, I came across the cutest little publisher of mini guidebooks – each one more charming than the next.

The Little Book Room only sells little books – pocket sized travel journals and memoirs as well as guides to local eating, drinking and shopping.

I’m definitely picking up the guide to Paris Flea Markets (because I am required to shop them thoroughly one Saturday while there – poor me!). Inspiration shopping is one of the biggest fashion industry perks there are (the second is free samples).

The Little Book Room site offers many guides to France, the UK and Italy, as well as California and New York. The cover art of each is a treasure, sweet and vintage.

You can also find retro inspired note cards to send home while you’re abroad. how adorable are these reproductions of vintage French button cards?
