My crafty fellow-Longmont sistah Danine has been making me this most delicious cocktail during our October crafting sessions. I adapted it a tiny bit from her recipe (because pumpkin liqueur is impossible to find, so the cream liqueur replaces that additional "punch").
It isn't too sweet (which I hate in a cocktail), it's got amazing flavors and couldn't be more holiday!
What you need:
1/2 oz Cream Liqueur (like Sylk or Bailey's)
2 oz Vanilla Vodka
1/2 oz Pumpkin Liqueur or Pumpkin Syrup (like Monin)
2 oz Vanilla Vodka
1/2 oz Pumpkin Liqueur or Pumpkin Syrup (like Monin)
Whipped cream
Cinnamon stick for garnish
Ground nutmeg
Preparation:
Pour the Cream Liqueur and vodka into a shaker filled with ice.
Shake well.
Add the pumpkin liqueur or syrup.
Shake again.
Strain into a chilled martini glass.
Top with whipped cream and ground nutmeg.
Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
